As an animation, this was very good. The blend of 3D and 2D worked greatly. My only grip is I have no clue how it relates to the theme :/

It's basically a cruise ship.
The way it went from day to day was quite interesting, and the way the acript was written was good, but you can tell it was a sort of lazy rushed animation. Don't get your hopes up on making NATA if a ton of entries come in, but I can still a future with effort and persistence
While the art style and animation was lackluster (the explosion as an example), I still feel that this was very enjoyable. I finished watching it with a smile on my face, so that's a major point for writer, despite the lack of dialogue. So as far as animation goes, it gets a couple points for not being terrible, and as far as the animation being overall alright, I give it a 3.5!
I don't see you winning NATA this year, but keep it up and I can see you going places.
Thank you for the review! Yeah, I don't expect to make it in the Novice Round, but at least I tried something new, and that's what matters to me!
I must admit that this one gives me an odd feeling in my stomach. I felt like it started out like it was going to be an epic parody, then it simply stopped flat on its face at just one joke. The blur effect, while cool at some points, was completely unnecessary at every single other point. the animation itself was fine. Nothing grade-A, but still very well done as far as animations go. So all-in-all, I'd have to give it a 3. Again, the animation and art was nice with the beginning joke making me giggle, but from there, the joke got full of itself and took up all of the screentime, and then hobbled around like a drunken chicken until it was blown up by a dragon wearing the ring of power, then realizing it was still in a flashback and coming back to present to die.
Dang Hikarian! I'll be glad to see you in the tournament lineup! The animation was well done, and the musical choice, while appearing to lean more toward an ominous ending at times, still fit the Elven theme very well. And codeblack, your voice acting was superb! The site needs a resident voice actress like you!
Overall, 4.5/5 Not totally legendary, but I definitely loved it. It was a strong NATA open round entry.
I have to admit that with stepping up to Blender you have kind of made a risky move. Did it pay off? Well, while I prefer your 2D animations (being a 2D puritan) the thing with the 3D animations is that they usually seem to lack livelihood. Now, like you said, you're new to Blender and couldn't add too much life, but surprisingly enoigh I still understood what happened.
All in all, a good start, but I think that, while 2D is more of your element, 3D is a realm that I feel you can explore well
As the very first NATA animation, I'd have to say we started of very well with this one. Solid animation, a basic plot that is still leaving me thinking. My only nitpick would be the excessive use of jump cuts, but again, that's just nitpicking. I'll be seeing you in the tournament!
Thanks for the review man, glad you liked it
