Kudos on just the idea and how you ended up making it sound. True, it could have used dynamic changes, but I don't care that much. It was nothing short of splendid

I'm finally moving up in the world!! =D
Will get more up soon.
Thanks for the review and support.

No! Simply no! Do NOT just take the onestop MIDI and run it through GXSCC and then put it on Newgrounds! It's wrong! It's MIDI ripping! You put NO effort into this! You get NO stars out of it

Conal responds:

This was a baaaad idea?

Well confound it! First song I look at of the day, and this is a great start! You seem to nail this song right on the head. Really, the only moment I feel I need to mention is at 2:05, the synth melody seems alone, but not for long when...THAT awesomeness happens. I feel bad after listening because I cant think of any way to make it better. Whether it makes me the bad critic or you the marvelous musician, kudos! 5/5

ChasingPresence responds:

Thanks alot! :)

Didn't really seem to have an arc. Just repeated chords with sounds added on. It does a good job with it, but gets boring.

I understand what you mean, but there's multiple producers that work on this music, some things don't get finished because I live 2 and a half hours away and currently I'm the only one with access to the DAW, therefore where things would be added and changed up, it never is. Thank you nonetheless.

Most of the song is dominate by the chords being played with no accompaniment but the voice, which I think is my main issue. The voice and chords are alone most of the song. When they're supported with the drums and bass, they sound wonderful! But through the whole thing the chords are so loud, they cover over the voice anyway, so you cant get the full effect.

Much appreciated again, and I'll try to work on that now that I have studio quality headphones.

This song moved at many different paces, which I liked seeing as it represents a "New Day". My only issue with it is that the transitions (like the one near 3:00) are so abrupt, it was like someone clicked next track. The transition at 1:28 was better, and in my opinion very well done. Overall it was a great song. I give it 4.5/5 and a 5 for ranking.

DJ-Grapefruit responds:

Wow, thanks man. Awesome!
Yeah I agree the transitions aren't really smooth, if i ever get back to this song I might try to work that out. :D

The piano seemed to be all over the place, along with your bass. Unfortunately, they werent always on the same page. The piano sounded fine but there was no constant. That might have been the point, but it seemed to be an unorganized mess.

Definite room for improvement here, but nothing terrible

jrguillett23 responds:

The bass was very weird it would sometimes work and then drop out, It was a swing type thing so that was sort of the point I am surprised that you gave me such A low review but that is just what you think is wrong, Also this took me a while to compose and was not thrown together so it is not a so called "unorganized mess"

The percussion got a little crazy there. Be sure it can fit in with the rest of the music.

SoulSecure responds:

What? You don't listen to jazz? The precussion fits the song, so I have no idea what you're trying to say. This isn't Youtube, write a real review next time.
